The Goat Barn Studio

Before it became a creative studio, the Goat Barn had a long and lively life. It started as our kids’ fort — a place for big imaginations and muddy boots — before it was home to our small herd of milking goats and, for a while, the cutest baby goats in the world.

When the goats moved on, we couldn’t bear to let the space sit quiet. With a little vision, a lot of sanding, and more than a few cups of coffee, we transformed it into the cozy, slightly funky studio it is today. The Goat Barn still holds that same sense of play and possibility — just with better lighting and a record player.

Now, it’s part of the Pine Cone Cabin experience — a creative, wood-stove-warmed space where guests can read, paint, play games, or enjoy a movie night. When both the Cabin and Barn are rented together, it becomes a perfect gathering place for game nights, knitting circles, or sketching sessions with friends.

The Goat Barn Studio is more than just a space — it’s a little piece of our family history, remade for stories yet to come.
